Certified Advice: Do's and Don'ts
to maximize your carpet investment
1) Buy 100% nylon carpet. Nylon wears
the best, and cleans the easiest. The next best choices are polyester
and acrylic. Wool is more expensive. Olefin, or polypropylene, is less
expensive, but attracts oily soils and shows traffic areas over time.
2) Avoid using throw rugs over carpeting,
especially rugs with rubber backing. Throw rugs are great, however, on
tile and in non-carpeted entries-they clean shoes before reaching carpeted
areas.
3) Please call us for free spot remover/service.
It is much easier for us to remove "fresh" spots than to treat spots which
have been treated with unknown spotting solutions. Sometimes the spot
treatment sets the dyes so that they are permanent, or spotting residues
begin another type of stain.
4) Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum! Vacuuming
revives carpet fibers and reduces carpet wear by reducing particulate
which deforms, frays and cuts
